Why blends exist in research settings

A blend is a single vial containing two or more reference peptides at defined masses. In laboratory work they are used for comparative studies where the question is whether two complementary pathways produce an additive, synergistic, or interfering result relative to either component alone.

The design caveat

A blend cannot answer which component drove a result. Any study using one needs single-component arms alongside it, or the data supports no attribution at all. Blends save preparation time; they do not replace controls.

Reading blend labels

Blend sizes are stated as the mass of each component, in listed order — a '5mg + 5mg' vial contains five milligrams of each. Concentration arithmetic after reconstitution must be performed separately for each component.

Are these compounds sold for human use?
No. Every compound in this catalog is supplied strictly as a reference material for in-vitro laboratory research. They are not drugs, supplements, or cosmetics, and they are not for human or animal administration.
What purity standard applies?
Every batch is analyzed by reverse-phase HPLC at ≥98% purity, confirmed for identity by mass spectrometry, quantitatively assayed for content, and screened for heavy metals. Batch-specific third-party certificates are published on each product page.
Is bacteriostatic water included?
No. Diluent is supplied separately and is listed under Supplies. Bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) is the standard laboratory diluent for multi-draw reference vials.
How should material be stored on arrival?
Lyophilized reference compounds are kept sealed and refrigerated at 2–8 °C for short-term working stock, or frozen at −20 °C or colder for long-term archive. Once reconstituted, solution is refrigerated, protected from light, and treated as a consumable.
